View Full Version here: : Mosaic software
Any suggestions.
Looking for software to plan and image mosaics; for example capturing M8 and M20 in a few panels.
I know you can do it with MaximDL but does anyone know of a less expensive option? I looked at Sequence Generator Pro, haven't downloaded the trial yet but appears a reasonable option. Any users out there?
On a budget nowadays!

SGP has a fantastic option for doing mosaics. It downloads an image of the area, you designate the overlap % and the area you want and it does the rest. Creates individual imaging runs for each panel along with the exact coordinates.

REGISTAR (https://www.aurigaimaging.com/download/download.php) is the most accurate tool to do this .
SGP best bang for buck for your mosaic collection (there is an inexpensive addon that let's you program everything before going out in the field)
Pixinsight unbeatable for processing and assembling mosaics.
(disclaimer: RobF is a SGP and PI fanboy... :)
Please seek your own advice before later realising I was telling you the truth...)

There's also a MosaicPlanner script for PI now: http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=9057.0

If your mount is EQ mod compatible there is the eq mosaic program (free).

Hi All Thanks for the reply.
All my stuff is Ascom compatible so I'll have a good look at the suggestions so far.
