Hi

Can anybody point me to software that can help with "manual" polar alignment. By manual I mean that the motor controls for the mount cannot be controlled by the computer (eq5 with motor drive, no ST-4 port).

At the moment I am using eqAlign which tells me when to switch the motors on/off, which alignment star to use, how to move the mount etc. While it works, eqAlign crashes more than it runs and it is a real pain restarting the alignment again and again.

Thanks
Luka

Your best bet is probably to use the DARV method.

Note that these instructions are for the northern hemisphere so adapt accordingly.
