SkY X and camera add on - Canon

I have purchased the camera add on for the Sky X Pro that I have and have tried connecting a Canon 700D to start some astrophotography when the cloud finally clears here.

Despite following the instructions the program refuses to connect with the camera and consistently throws an error claiming that the camera is not found and saying the error = 215. I am getting the same error on both the desktop and the laptop. the camera is picked up automatically by Windows on both thus ruling out a problem with the cable connecting the two.

I thought it might be a Windows 10 issue but the laptop runs windows 8.1.

Has anyone else come across this issue or am I missing something.

I don't have a Canon so have no experience with it BUT you could download an ASCOM driver for that particular camera and then try to connect that way. Unless you're currently doing that, in which case I am of no further use to you hehe

Thanks Colin. I haven't tried that although the thought did cross my mind earlier. I will go hunting for the ASCOM driver and see if it works.
