I have the bino from Andrews. It has 20 mm opening before the eyepiece ( same as William Optic). Thinking of getting a pair of GSO 20 mm superviews for low power widish field viewing. Will these eyepieces vignette? Thanks. Doug. Please, no expensive recommendations as i am on a tight budget.

yes but only a little, the field stop on the superviews isn't well defined anyway

Does anyone know of a budget widefield with sharp field stop at that focal length?

The 20mm of clear aperture is a real limitation preventing you getting super wide field views without the eyepieces vignetting.

A 20mm TV plossl will be fine, the 25mm likely also. Any of the Delite eyepieces will work. The 13mm Nagler or 14mm ES eyepieces will give about the same FOV at higher magnification, but with less eye relief.

The 20mm that come with WO's have a sharp field stop. I have a pair of Agena Astro 12mm WA that also have a sharp field stop. The 20mm WA are 65 degree AFOV and at a guess they would not vignette. The 20mm SWA 70 degree I once had, did vignette as do the ES 20 68.

The 20mm WA are on sale for USD30 each. Might be worth a look.

Thanks Matt, will check the Agena WA out.
