quick assistance needed win 8 remote access

i am trying to enable remote access on my windows 8 device and go to the remote tab in the system section of the control panel and only the remote assistance box comes up, i dont have the remote desktop box displayed so i cant enable remote access. all my other computers have it, just this one doesnt

It looks like a windows 8 vs 8 pro issue, I will have to use teamviewer for now and upgrade later

You are correct, Win8 home edition doesnt have remote desktop. Only Pro and above.

took me a while to figure that out, some hair was lost ! but teamviewer is working well
