Hi Guys, maybe some one could help or make a suggestion as of how i could get rid of this annoying error warning box that comes up each time i open the net browser.

It reads at the top: dsrite.exe-system error

Then says with a big red cross to the left:

The program cant start because xul.dll is missing from your
computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

I have no idea where it came from, it dose not effect anything, but is just annoying as each time i have to manually remove it.
Could someone please tell me what it is and how i might be able to get rid of it.

Thanks in advance.

Leon

The Google machine tells me "Dsrlte.exe is categorized as an adware helper. This means that the program will assist advertisement-supported applications in infiltrating your system"

Some links that show how you might get rid of it:

On my Windows 7 laptop I have the free software: Avast (for anti-virus) and Super Anti-Spyware (for anti-spyware). They seem to do a pretty good job at preventing this sort of thing in the first place, and if you don't already have anti-virus/anti-spyware software, installing these and doing a scan might find and fix this exact issue for you. Just be sure to download them from reputable sources like: source forge, or cnet.

And if you already have anti-virus/anti-spyware software, installing multiple ones can cause problems as they don't tend to play nicely with each other.

I usually go through the google results, and look for a solution that does not look too wacky or involved, and does not tend to use additional software that no one has ever head of. The genuine solutions will be the ones that several people say work, from several different web-sites.

Good luck.

xul.dll is a file that is part of the firefox web browser.

I suspect that it has been infected with some type of malware
and your anti malware program has deleted it.

Search you C drive and see if the file is indeed missing.

If it is not found the you can download a replacement from
a number of sites on the internet.

Copy the downloaded file to the firefox directory on your
drive, probably in

C:\program files\firefox

and see if that helps.http://www.youtube.com/favicon.ico (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=or%20quaranten ed%20)https://ff.duckduckgo.com/favicon.ico (http://duckduckgo.com/?q=or%20quarantened%20&t=ff)http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAA ABQAAAATCAYAAACQjC21AAAAAXNSR0IArs4 c6QAAAAZiS0dEAP8A/wD/oL2nkwAAAAlwSFlzAAAIpwAACKcBMsYCAwA AAAd0SU1FB9kFEwgQLXKnj9oAAAPsSURBVD iNdVRZSGRXEH1Joz8icSIMJsEQEvKvov4IC oOYIAp+KKISkLiAgij5UGOMjgoug6CiKC64 i/sSpVHcl7jv7W6722pcWmyNoqBW6hRpyYSZC 8W7975bdU+dOrcUIlL+axYWFq+SkpLybWxs Yo17VlZWX/H6DebOzs4/ent7/+Lu7v7z/31h7y8U5fvV1VWNra3tIObGvZqamtaHh4fH xMTExb29vcejoyMKCwt7jIqKWuD/bz4Y0MXF5e319bU2JyfngA99x/YJ22empqZuERERKwcHB9Td3U37+/u0srJCc3NzNDIyQk1NTVcqleonPvv6JSCPL 87OznQ8p+TkZC2vv2GzcnNz+83a2joqLy9v CQFnZ2dpfX2dlpaWqLe3lzo7O+WStLS0ORM TE7+XgCkpKTX07/Dz86PIyEhDVlaWISMjgxISEmRfp9PRzs4O7 e7uEtMi6EZHRyVweHg4gp6bm5tbKK958Plb ODES+ZmZmQmkxjsE2d3dHWm1WsrOzqa6ujo aGhqigYEBGh4epvT0dCovLyd7e3sfhR3fGR 0vLy9fULa0tMj8/PycNBoNcVGIi0NxcXHU09NDY2Nj1N/fL2mXlZXJJV5eXkXK9va2DojggIDPz8/iuLGxQcvLy8IXEN7c3JBer5f14uKiIOzr66 P29naqqqqiiooK8vf3n1aYbP3ExIQcZkkIK gcHBwJ/BoNB1ltbW8IbF466urrk3OTkpFhDQ4MEZA7 Jx8fnSGEJ6I2pHh4eyvf2ViglVBbBwBMQb2 5u0sLCgnAXExMjVLS1tVFJSYmkHRoa+pfCm ydwPjk5EYf7+3txwBoVRTFmZmZetFdcXEyB gYGUm5srVa6traWioiIqKCig4ODgVYVJnUE 6LGpBhLQQDMjAHeaQzPT0tASG7iorK0U2kA wC4hIE9PT0HFZYvB7j4+NPQHlxcSGFOD4+F vnw8xKOUGnwxAWkqakpqSz7CJ/V1dXEmiV+/+To6Pi7CJvFq356ehIHaA2ogPjq6krSRlVb W1ulqoODgyIbyMfX15dKS0spNjYWAf+2tLT 8UgLyJAIPHinPz89LFcEXJIJUcdHa2ppIBA jVajWlpqYSNwcqLCwUdEFBQX9+ysP4llXcS f7gFO6A8PT0lJqbm4UXvB6kBc6QKgz/sAfu8Ers7OzecYxv3+s2PD53dXX9FVUFCiC qr6+njo4OSRMBwSN3FylKfn4+MQgKCAhAC1 N9rB+aODk5vWUU5+ARUoHu8CpQ0cbGRjFcx A3kkjtRAft8/dEGazRuRabcZH8ICQkpjo6OVjNHmvj4+GXu iyMeHh453ATCzMzMXn3I9x8oCiuuorpqawA AAABJRU5ErkJggg== (http://www.google.com/search?hl=com&btnI=I'm+Feeling+Lucky&q=or%20quarantened%20+wikipedia)

Download MBAM AntiMalware while you are at it and run it to clean out the rubbish adware stuff.

Well I fiddled with this problem most of the afternoon.
I looked at one of the sites that Tim suggested, but that was a disaster as it really effected the whole computer, :eyepop: i had to do a system restore and then a complete scan, which did bring the machine back to where it was when all this happened.:)
However it did not fix the issue of the error message and it still persists every time i open Seamonky.
At a lose to know what I should do to get rid of this pesky issue

Leon
