Hi all.
Spend the weekend at relo's place in Gloucester NSW. Houghy kindly lent me his Polarie startracker. I used my 600D and 50mm lens on it.
Images are
Comet Catinina among heaps of stars. 7x5 mins full size here[/URL . Also full res .crop of comet.

All pics unguided on the Polarie whose polar scope allowed very precise polar alingment. all pics at F3.5 and ISO 800.

This is exactly why we love going up to Bretti each New Moon. Bretti is 35kms northwest of Gloucester.

Some lovely results Scott, you must be quite happy with them, especially considering your current (and past!) state of health :thumbsup:

Houghy, he's the man, always prepared to help a fellow astroimager/observer, that's why we love him so much :love:..I'd give him a hug if he was here now!

Nice images. I'll have to give the polar scope a go with the polarie to see if I can get to 5 min images. That would be fantastic. I think the best I've done is about 1 or 2 min.

How many darks did you do?
