Decided to give this monochrome function a go this morning on the Barnards.
70-300mm @ 70mm f4 300 seconds ISO 1250 single image.
Turned out o.k. i think, can just make out the witches head:thumbsup: would like some more of that fluffy white stuff though.

That's a very nice image; terrific for such a short, single exposure. It makes me feel right at home with my B&W ST7, although my FOV is pitifully small in comparison.

Cool catch on the Witch Head Trevor. :thumbsup: Looks pretty clear to me. Nice overall shot actually. How long before we can expect to see you snapping off a dozen shots like that for stacking? Are you getting that mount sorted out?

trevor, inverse the image and give us a negative shot to look at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEE EEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM MMMMEEEEEEEEEE. I did something like this earlier this year with orion neb
