I am thinking of using the FLI luminance and combining it with RGB from a cooled 60da , on my newt the canon gives 1.1arc/pixel, on the FLT the FLI gives 1.2 so quite close.
I think I would be able to combine them in registax but I wanted to know about image saving formats to make it easy -
i.e I always save DSLR in canon Raw, and Maxim CDD shots in Fits,
or would it be just a case of stacking both sets independently then combing two fits in registax?

cheers

hi graham,

the files I think you will find will be too large for Registax.
DSS will also struggle as it doesn't like images of varying sizes.
I'd recommend RegiStar, I've used it to combine nb and rgb data from my dslr - (the NB data image is 1/4 the scale of the regular dslr image after using superpixel mode). https://aurigaimaging.com/
You do need to convert CR2 to tiff first and it can handle fits. But it is so quick and easy to use.

Cheers

Hi H, I have Pixinsight, an older version but have never come to terms with it. That hill I'm saving to climb for later!!

PixInsight will easily register and integrate images from different systems. :)
