Thought I'd try a tracked image with the Samyang 14mm.
This one was 4 minutes from SPSP. I think there must have been some cloud roll in causing the pointers to bloom like that. It's quite a pleasing effect actually.

I used to do one hour exposures at 800 iso
6 meg canon ..

Nice shot but lacks colour. I would work on the colour and also try to get some colour into the stars.

Thanks Greg - appreciate the advice.
My early wide-field efforts always ended up way too purple but I may have gone too far in avoiding that. I'll try to re-process and maintain a bit more colour. Practice makes perfect and all that.

Tried a repro to add more colour as per Greg's suggestion.
I fear I might have overdone it a bit but it was a good exercise in any case.
