Hi all,
Im in need of a ‘web-page-link’ to download Registax 5 or 6, for windows 8.1 every where Iv’e tried from googling seems to be obsolete, and the download pages are not opening !
My main PC is Deaded, so im kinda short on resources on/with my wittle-astro-capturing-lappy, Lol
Thanx in advance

It's the security settings in Win 8.1, they are a nightmare, it would protect you from your own grandmother if it could.
Search for User Account Control (UAC) in settings, (it's hidden away, unlike Win 7) and drop the slider down to minimum to allow stuff to run and\or download.

Win8 treats it's users like dumb cretins... Mother Microsoft at it worst. Win10 or whatever they will eventually call it looks better, they have reverted some of the more severe restrictions.

Hey Cheers for them insights Brent, I wasnt sure what was going on, but yeah, definately Not a 'Cretin' issue, Lol ;)

So, as you say, " to allow stuff to run and\or download."
does this mean for allowing 'Only' downloaded progs and execute files to run, ?
I have seen this options pop up, and never allowed them as thought they could let a bunch of other stuff to run, like unwanted toolbars, auto updating of progs that i dont hardly use ect ect ? ?
Thanx
