Observatory Computer that can go to the field

Looking for a recommendation for a low/reasonable priced general purpose computer that can sit on the observatory desk and also go to the dark site and run my imaging out there.
So it's would be running: BYEOS, Metaguide, DSS, and Photoshop for now. I prefer a unit that has good battery life, and an a small AC thrist that can run through a small inverter and recharge quickly. Screen size
is not too important, but would like a fair number of USB2 ports.

Any ideas?

Depending on your budget, I would have a look at the Intel NUCs. They seem to be fairly well sorted, nice and small, use very minimal energy. Intel NUC (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/nuc/overview.html)

For me, the NUC has the disadvantage of needing a separate screen (AC powered) and keyboard, which would rule it out for field work. I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L50 laptop, i7 CPU and sufficient RAM and find it does everything I want.
