I would like to control my HEQ5 with Stellarium and EQmod.
I use PH2 with the Orion Miniguider from a Netbook W7 starter version.
Q: Do I need a second PC to run Stellarium at the same time?
Any comments apreciated, Thanks.

Hey Jakob
You can run PHD2, EQMOD and Stellarium together. You just need to get an add on called StellariumScope.

Hi,
I could never get Stellarium to run correctly and easily 'out of the box'- even using Stellarium Scope - so I run CDC (Carte De Ciel) and that seems to work easily and quickly via EQMOD.
On my underpowered machine I run PHD2 and Artemis Capture for the CCD at the same time as CDC and it seems ok so far :D

Hi Jakob - using same setup here (only need one laptop) - if the instructions on welshdragoncomputing site (http://www.welshdragoncomputing.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=31&Itemid=39) are too brief, there's some additional helpful step-by-step info here: http://taursansaakamera.dyndns.org:2222/Ohjelmat/Stellariumscope/stellariumscope_user_guide.pdf
Works very well once setup (imho)
[EDIT - the linked pdf is an old version, can't find hosted location of the update, so have attached to post]

Thanks for all the help.
I got CdC running with Ascom-EQmod, now I need to test PHD2, when the clouds move.
I had a bit of hassle because I never run a Windows update. But all is OK now.
Thanks!
