Hi guys,

With Jove now blazing away in the Northern sky, and after seeing Trev's images, decided to have a go at the big fella this morning.

It was promising, BUT, never quite steady enough at 38 degrees, confirmed when I swung the scope over the the moon to really check the seeing.

Anyhow, good to get some details with the ASI120mm, 12.5", 5 x Powermate and the IR685 filter which seems the best at the moment.

Another go tonight before the change hits Melbourne so lets see what eventuates.

Clear skies,

John K.

and a slight re-process to darken the features ever more slightly.

Id be stoked with that John  38deg alt is choppy conditions here in summer Qld, compared a few yrs back when at 70-80deg in Spring !

Nicely done John, certainly worth the effort, a top result for so far South as Melbourne.

Cheers
