Hi Guys,
Just found this free software which controls the shutter. Supports ShoeString DSUSB adapters.

have you got the shoestring adapter yet? how does it work, ie easy, some fiddling still or major fiddling but gets results?

DSUSB is simply Plug & Play, nothing more complicated than that, the only thing you have to do is put the Camera Control to M (manual).
Looks like interesting software for exposure control, no focussing function though, that is the most important part of DSLRFocus, getting that focus right.

Hi Eric
Thanks for the details and link - this looks very interesting as it may overcome a crippling limitation with the Pentax *ist DS, where using the Pentax Remote Capture software, the maximum exposure for interval shooting is restricted to 30 seconds.
Anyone out there tried it on a Pentax DSLR yet?
Cheers

No dennis but I was thinking of that camera
Have just recieved my dsusb friom shoestring astronomy , took one week to get here. Tried the above software and it works well . allows a time delay before starting , exposure time, interval time, no of exposures. Not bad for a free prog if you only buy the dsusb. Not sure how it compares to shutterbug???
