I have an Andrews binoviewer and was wondering if a pair of 25mm plossls would work with a minimum of vignetting. On a strict budget so no expensive eyepiece recommendations. Just best inexpensive low power oculars please. I currently have a pair of 20mm GSO plossls and am interested to go lower if possible. Thanks

the GSO 25-plossl field stop is 19.5mm, so should be OK, but if using with the C8 id still prob go for the 32mm plossl -even though the field stop is outside the aperture of the bino & some vignetting will reslt the lower magnification will be a benefit for the visual experience

i guess what im saying it doesnt make sense in theory but in practice id prefer the 32mm

Thanks Daniel, I have a 32mm Orion plossl will try it out to see edge darkening. If its not to obvious will get a mate for it, or settle for a pair of 25s.

RKE 28's are good for the disappering eyepiece trick. It's been a while but from memory vignetting isn't an issue as the view melts into one. Might be worth a try. I have a pair if you want to try them. Send me a PM if you do.
