Hi all,

My BT2EQ6 arrived today, so I set about installing all the usual software on the lap top to run some initial tests.
No scopes have been attached thus far.

The install and initial runs went very well with the usual hiccups along the way but mostly painless.
Scope control in stellarium was working as expected and doing as it should.

THEN, it started
after a restart stellarium would no longer navigate to the selected star.
In fact it no longer mattered where I attempt to slew to, it always turns in same direction and attempts to bury itself below the horizon .
EQMod stops it at the required limit and then no further slews are possible because its out of limits.

Thus far I've tried,
* uninstall/reinstall stellarium
* reset all config files and setting to default and set up again
* install an older version that have proven compatibility with stellarium scope
* installed cart du ciel which works perfectly.
* run diagnosis on all systems which come back fine.

so, what am I missing?
It worked ok originally and with cart du ciel which suggests I'm missing a setting somewhere .

I have a preference for the interface on Stellarium over CDC so would like to get it up and running

I'd appreciate any feed back.

Final solution is to strip all the software and reinstall it all but as the issues seems specific to stellarium I don't think that would be justified.

cheers in advance Brett

I have had problems with Stellarium for Android pointing in the opposite direction since the last upgrade. North is South. Might have to step back one version.
Fortunately Skyeye is excellent and I wish they would do a PC/Mac version.

glad to hear im not alone with my issue :)

I rolled back several versions to try and get it to work and saw some improvement with some other issues I had with it but after having a break from it and rethinking, I think it may be SScope that is the issue, considering it has been the constant.
I may have a shot at a different version of that and see how it goes.
