Macbook air and ASCOM?

Hi all,

I've happily been using my old DELL Inspiron with ASCOM and EQMOD to control my EQ6 Pro, Cartes de Ciel, PHD and Shoestring focuser. The old PC works well but has about 5min battery life and I now want to head to a darker powerless site.

I'd like to get a new laptop and am thinking of a Macbook Air using bootcamp. I've had a look on the EQMOD Yahoo site with no luck.

So, has anyone been able to make Cartes du Ciel ASCOM and EQMOD work on a Macbook air using Bootcamp please?

Forget Bootcamp and use Parallels

That way you can have Mac and Win apps running together rather than be forced to boot up in one OS or the other.

Thanks for that tip :) that will be the first hurdle taken care of but I still need to know if anyone has made ASCOM and EQMOD work on a Macbook Air?
