I was looking around the net for some source code to play with, and come across this code that makes the form transparent. So I thought if I put a set of cross hairs on it, it would help in making tracking your avi”s a bit easier. You can put this window over your capture window. I think it only works in windows XP. Let me know what you think of it, is it useful ?
for the million dollar question - "Who's image is in the back ground?"
EDIT new version 0.0.2 now it stays on top of all open windows.
If zip dosent work try this link the zip file is not working here for some reason??

I can't open the file Joe. Doesn't appear to be a valid archive. Could be my inability to use winzip correctly though.

I've noticed you can't put the crosshairs on a maximised window. Shouldn't matter seeing the capture window is not full screen size anyway.
The shutdown procedure (hit the X top right) is a bit buggy too.

I can code it so it stays on top of all open windows. It was only a quick code to see if it works and is usefull, no error checking at all  I'll add a option so when you left click the time it brings up a option box. so you can change some settings and close it down cleanly instead of just killing it.

Just had a look at the crosshair in k3ccd tools and its fixed? with my ones you can move them around the capture window and select any object in the frame. I have some more ideas for the program if you have anything you'll like to see in it let me know.

Works a treat for me now Joe.
Yes the K3 is fixed, which is good for when you want to dead center the object to be imaged.

I like the use of the clock Joe  If you decide to take it further an option to switch the clock to a stop watch would be useful.

Addendum to Paul's request...with an option to have 'end of time/run' type sounds as well, would be great too..:D L....'beep, beep'...:P
ps. Think it's asking too much?? Joe might put a price on it!!
joe_smith

Do you mean like a count-down timer so you can set it for say 5 min then it counts down and when one min passes a little beep to let you know, then when theres 10 or five seconds to go, beep every second is that what you mean? A price on it NO WAY. If people like it and use it then thats payment enough  I am working on adding an option page so you can selesct different types of crosshairs. will work on the stopwatch/timer as well.
To Do - stopwatch, countdown timer :nerd:

Exactamundo.:2thumbs:.:D
We have a few guys that walk around with 'egg timers' in their pockets n when they go off......in yer ear, while you are quietly viewing....& they go back to their t'scopes to set-up for the next shot.... ya sorta wanna 'kill em' sometimes, sorta thing....:poke: (j/k)...
Ummm, not sure about minimum n maximum times tho...Suggestions req'd here, (10 mins)?......Perhaps 'import' your own 'beeps n blips'? :D L.
