Cant Connect Laptop to MEADE RCX 10"

Hi All. hope someone can help, we have just moved house now I cant connect laptop to MEADE RCX 10" as I use to with USB ON SCOP TO USB ON LAPTOP, is there any thing I can do to try and sort this, tanks in anticipation.

Thanks very much for all your help,just tried new cable with my Prolific PL2303HX Rev D Chipset serial to usb adaptor in scope serial port all went OK, so it looks as if internal adaptor is broke .
