My Sky X started a problem last week. If I use the find function and type in an NGC object it crashes and I have to close down the software and reload it.
If I chose a named object its fine.
Something has gone funny with the NGC database do you think?
Greg.

Over the last few days I've used Builds 7477, 7708 and 7715 with absolutely no problems with 'Find' for NGC objects. Any particular one? I'm up now if you want me to try a specific NGC.

ps. Under Win 7 Home that is!

My Starry Night Pro does the same thing, Greg! Must be a virus
I must admit I'm pretty peeved about the poor response to bugs from both the Starry Night folks and also Software Bisque. In both cases I have serious bugs that have not been fixed more than three years after I reported them (and was told that a fix would be forthcoming...)

Then report them again and again until they get fixed.

Its running an older build. I think from about a year ago. Its been no problem all this time. An odd thing to occur. Perhaps a sudden shutdown threw it off. Reloafding the software may be the way to go.

I tried to follow up with Software Bisque a few times without any response so I voted with my wallet and didn't renew my subscription. I don't feel it's my responsibility to hound them repeatedly. I have better things to do with my time.

My Sky X seems to have repaired itself!
Perhaps turning the computer on and off a few times resolved it.
Greg.

The IT Crowd at work in Greg's computer.
Glad it works again.
