hi all
in the process of trying to build a new pc thats why i have not been here lately :)
the specs are

2 ram 32gb of corsair dominator platinum CMD32GX3M4A 1600C9 VERSION 3.24
3 780TI Geforce galaxy 3 gb graphics
4 I7 4930k intel core processor
5 asus 1200 case
what i was wondering i xmp is required for the use of all of the 32gb ram
i am using windows 7 pro 64 bit
ps the ram was cheap that why i got the 32gig :)
thanks in advance

I was under the impression that the XMP settings controlled the speed of the RAM not how many gigs it read.
I had alot of trouble with corsair vengeance RAM & the R4E. I ended up switching to G.Skill Ripjaws Z and have'nt had any dramas since.

I know you will need to enable an XMP profile to get your 1600mhz. But it should read all the 32gb straight up. I have heard people having trouble with there boards reading all there RAM. If the RAM isn't seated perfect the board wont read it, even though it's locked in and looks good.

The XMP profiles are already created, its just a matter of selected one and enabling it. But if you have picky RAM or CPU you may need to manually tweak it and that's another kettle of fish beyond my knowledge.

I must be getting behind the times lol I built a very similar system using the Rampage III Extreme Board and 16gb RAM. Blu-Ray Writer and 4Tb of Storage.
You should have no problem reading all your RAM and you will find that Rampage MB is an excellent board.
I also have Win 7 Pro 64bit which flies on this system. Just try running Supreme Commander Forged Alliance with all settings maxed out on a Very High Res Monitor (Greater than 1080P). Mine has no delays or dropouts so with your slightly higher specs you should have no problems with any apps :-)
