opening DSS output files

-+Help needed. When I finish in DSS I save the final image and send it to my desktop. No program in my comp will open it. It is normally a TIFF
file. I have tried a FITS file instead, but my comp can't open that either.
What do I do now? I have tried all the options that DSS offers.

If you have photoshop, drag and drop the file onto the photoshop icon. Photoshop will open and open the file too.
You will need to convert the file to 16bit so you can access all of photoshops tools.
