Starry Night Win8

I just installed Starry Night Pro6 on my new Sony Vaio 13" Ultrabook.
Everything OK eccept the display is hard to read in the dark.
The highres display makes everything so faint.
With a red screen cover almost impossible to read.

I wonder if there is a way in SN to increase the text size?
Any suggestions welcome.

Easy way is just to turn down your displays resolution, yer it wont be as pretty but it works. Also Acc tools and magnifier may help. I use SN6 as well but haven't seen anything myself not saying there isn't. I would ask on the support forums.

Jay, Thanks for the advise,
I actually did try this, but it just made the screen smaller.
Now I tried all the options and found 1024x768 works great!

Starry Night has options to change font sizes/colours, etc. :)

File > Preferences (I think).

Hey Jakob,

Next time you come to the PC, I will bring some neutral density filter film for you.

It worked really well on my last laptop. I doubled it over, and barely had to adjust my laptop's brightness down from normal.

I think I have a little left over, in the tube.

Do try what H has suggested. I'm sure I have made those changes in the past myself in Starry Night.

I don't know about other versions but Starry Night Pro has separate font options for each database and no apparent means of setting them all at once. Considering how many DBs it has that's a pain.

Options->databasename.

I found the display hard to read even before the red filter, but with the changed settings it should be OK.

It's really a tedious on a 13" display for people who don't have perfect vision, the problem is navigation of the tab menus the labels can have the font size's adjusted https://support.simulationcurriculum.com/entries/20269456-Font-Size . Glad that 1024x768 is working fine for you and would still look very nice and sharp on a 13" at that res. My notebook is a 15" 1366x768 and its sharp and very nice on that so on a 13" its gotta look sweet.
