Glory of the Dragonflame - 7/12
As the sun sets, it unleashes these beautiful formations, as sprawling dragonflame across the northwestern sky; complimenting the glorious mountainous formations: The Elephant at centre-left and The Lion at centre-right.
Note the subtle reflection of the blazing clouds in the snow towards the peak of Mount Pembroke.
Made in the middle of winter at magical Milford Sound.

Thank you Laurie, Bob and Trevor.
Bob, yes, landscape photography for me is everything. It's all about that precious light. And, yes, this is Milford Sound. :)
The mountain formations don't necessarily resemble their namesakes in this particular image. In other images, they do. :)
Thanks for looking and commenting, guys. :)

Rolf, Jason, Rick and Carlos,
Thank you, gents. :)
It was a beautiful sight, indeed.
About 20 minutes before I made this, I watched an avalanche take place further to the right. The sound is something I'll never forget.
