Looking for Pentax XW30 and XW40...

Hi All,

New user, Occasional astronomer, first post.

I already have a few XWs and would love to expand the family.

Of course, I must be the last (and newest) person on this forum to know that the XW30 and XW40 are discontinued :-/ Such is the frequency of my astronomy...

But, I do love camping with my grab 'n go so, if anyone knows anyone that is willing to part with either or both, I'd much appreciate it.

The 40 has a fair bit of field curvature or so I've been told. I have a flat field scope so it isn't a problem, and it is a beautiful wide field EP.

Unless you're using a corrected scope of some kind, you'd probably be better off with an LVW, or lighter still a Baader Aspheric. The 2" XW were also expensive when available.
