Hello again,

I've scanned the various threads on ND96 Filters and polarising filters for lunar viewing, but I couldn't find what I was thinking of.

I currently have a ND96 .9 1.25" filter for moon viewing and star splitting.
But with the 10", the moon still gets very bright through the ND filter.
So I'm aware of the option of getting another ND to dim it down some more, then there's the other of using 2 polarising filters to go even darker than a ND.

But it is possible to couple the ND and a single polarising to be able to darken what I have to an acceptable level?

U can try doing what we did and make a new cap for the front with a smaller aperture off to the edge than the 10" ur using. About 2" is good.

So essentially using the dust cover for the scope and removing the little offset dust cap?
