Ok Guys... this could be a really dumb question, but I've run out of ideas and sat on it, and chewed it over and I can't see what I'm missing...
In K3CCDTools, when using the planetary wizard to process an AVI, how do I move the Difference slider in the Quality Difference graph when selecting frames to stack? I think its step 5 of the wizard.
I don't seem to be able to move the Difference slider, and I can't find any settings to turn it on/off...????

Hi AL, its been a long while since I've used KCCCD's planetary wizard but from memory you can either run it step by step or just let it loose. I've just had a go now and yes it does disable the vertical slider, but that's not the one you want to use. The horizontal slider will drop off poorer quality frames as you drag it right to left - and will show you at lower left what the quality % is that you're left with as you go. You can also just type in a percent you want to keep etc.
hope that helps?
cheers,

No worries. Thanks Robert!
As long as it's doing what it's supposed to and I'm not being too dumb to drive it I'm happy! I'm just used to having that feature available to me in registax, so I was wondering why I couldn't get it to work...
I'm just learning K3CCDTools for processing more out of interest than anything, but I have to say I'm impressed with the 2x image enlargement feature in K3. It seems to do a smoother job than the equivalent routine in Registax... but perhaps that depends on what settings you apply in registax - I haven't exhaustively explored them all!
