Computer Aided Astronomy Software. C2A.
Anyone here use it ?
I'm at the stage where Stellarium, although very good is not quite giving me all the information and capabilities I want. I could not have coped with C2A when I first started, way too complicated, but it's starting to make sense now.

Any comments, hints, suggestions ?

Brent,
I use it occasional (still prefer CdC for the normal work).
I like the BeSS catalogue feature for spectroscopy.

Brent,
I use C2A, CdC, Halo Northern Sky, TheSky6, and Stellarium, with a preference for CdC. And Sky Safari Pro on the iDevices.
C2A communicates with Occult Watcher to generate predicted occultation charts which might be useful to you.

Thanks Guys, I've downloaded C2A and CdC and investigating both. Some similarities and some differences for sure. Ease of use and suitabilty for my purpose is the crunch. I like C2A's viewing log and the interface is a bit cleaner and easier to use. More testing required.

I hadn't heard about C2a before reading this thread so I have downloaded it and will have a play. First impressions are good - a clean interface, quick load, clear appearance.
It might just become a useful tool.

I use C2A quite often and find its a better alternative to CDC.

Yeah, they look very similar to me as well but I like the cleaner look and some of the options it offers. The abilty to change the sky view from a plot to a more realsitic is useful. Altrenative means of navigation.
