Does anyone know of any software out there that will enable me to send start/stop commands to my gemini 2 at set intervilles?

It struck me tonight that's this almost the perfect solution for time lapse control. All I would need is a spare motor and I could permanently attach it to my dolly. With my set up is ATM I can't really do any timelapse at night unless there is no motion due to long exposures blurring, but if I could send start/stop commands to the GII at set intervilles it would be the perfect motion controller, when I say perfect I mean cheapest option as I already own the motors and the g2.

Anyone know of software out there that can do this?

Thanks
Sandy

I don't understand quite what you mean but if you do, all the commands to the gemini are listed in the manual. You don't need ASCOM.

Write a simple program in QBasic to do what you want and connect it to the Gemini via the COM port. I have written many short test programs to make a Gemini do lots of things using this method.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well.

When you are doing a time lapse at night, and you are using a dolly so that your time lapse will have motion from left to right or right to left you need to pause the motion when the camera is taking an image other wise you will introduce blur as the camera will be takining a long exposure. I was wondering if there was an app that could talk to the gemini driver to send tracking on and off.

If I need to take an exposure of 20 seconds, I need the gemini II to stop tracking for 20 seconds.

Thanks
