Every couple of years I have to take my ever slowing down computer to an "expert" to get it brought back up to speed. What files does he clear to unclutter the machine? (I regularly clear out the temp and temp internet files under "Local Settings")
When it gets slow it can't even handle a stack using DSS. I have my V Memory set to 4536 M.
What else can I do?

I use Auslogics Boostspeed.
It clears a lot more than the things you mentioned in your original post.
It will also attempt to speed up your internet connection, as well as clean and defrag your registry.
Plus a host of other things.

Piriform Ccleaner...been using it for years...even fixes up .dll issues. Also a good dose of malwarebytes to clean up little nasties...both are free...
