Trevor, beautiful work. So silky smooth too. Love the richness of this region.

A very nice Horsehead. Great tracking.
A bit of green in the left. You can use HLVG free plugin for PS to remove that. It does a good job.

Thanks Larry, glad you enjoyed.
You know what they say "took me years to be an overnight success".
Thanks Justin, JJJ
The smoothness is a variety of noise managements techniques, some in PS, most in Goodlook (Developed by Mike Berthon-Jones from ASNSW).
Thanks Greg, I put the green down to V1197 Ori, the bright yellow/orange star in the corner. Depending on how I process, the lefthand side can show a lot of blue (Kindergarten painting taught me blue + yellow = green ;)). I feel it adds nice colours that are not normally represented in modern interpretations
Thanks Paul, you wait till you look at the full size image the stars arent so controlled there. Amazing what downsizing an image can do to hide blemishes.

Great looking photo Trevor. You had a lucky night at Wiruna.
I love the composition.
Mike's software is producing the goods.
Ross.

Thanks Ross, but you should know, there is nothing lucky about clear nights at Wiruna :rofl:It is only cloudy when you come along.
I think composition has always been my stronger ability, certainly better than my processing

Ha, ha....my personal dark cloud!
There's nothing wrong with your processing. Your photos always have a smooth, natural look with very nice colours.
Ross.

Hi Allan,
Sorry I cant, not my software to publish, plus at the moment it is going through so many iterations that by the time you downloaded it, you would need to do it again.
I will take it up with the author next week at the ASNSW Astro Imaging meeting (shamless plug). For any who would like to see/try it, come along to the meeting. See http://www.asnsw.com/node/721 for details.
