WebCam extension leads

Hi all

Could someone tell me please, what would be the maximum, longest "Good" extension lead that i could safely use from the Toucam to the lappy, without looking for trouble due to lenght etc.

3mtrs for a low power device - 5mtrs for a high power device
you can put a powered hub in between each lead for a 25mtr run I believe
