PhD Guiding - dec error

I'm just wondering what might cause a dec error when trying to guide? East and west calibration seems to go okay but north and south take forever and then I get an error message. It proceeds to guiding but the graph shows dec as a flat line so presume it has been turned off.

Any help greatly appreciated

Dec guiding was off and I have turned it to auto but the dec graph just goes pretty much straight to the bottom

I have had this happen when the main scope is way out of balance.

Are you sure your polar alignment is accurate??

Failure to move in dec can also be backlash in the dec worm. Try increasing the calibration step size under the brain menu.
