You may remember this "Argos Tin Shed" Observatory...
I originally built it in the UK for the 12" Lx200. After three years faithful service, I relocated to Belgium, and decided it worked so well I'd take it with me!
Re-assembled in Brussels it looked after me for the next two years...
when we reurned to Oz in July I decided once again to re-locate it.
It took me the best part of half a day to steam clean it "in accordance with Australian Customs requirements"!!!!!
Well, it arrived almost in one piece...
Subsequent temporary storage behind the house didn't do it any good and the roof flipped in a storm damaging and buckling some of the panels. The roof (and probably some of the side panels are beginning to show their age and are being repainted)
I also found the the self tapping screws didn't really like being re-inserted into ol' well used holes!
For the first time in it's life it's now on a solid, level concrete base.
The structure is up, the roof in place and only needs the rails and trim to complete. The rails were edged with a 100mm length of marine ply which didn't make it :(
I'm trying, with some difficulty (xmas holidays etc and lack of suitable transport...) to find two 3500mm lengths of 50 x 50 x 1.6 aluminium angle.
Once complete it will hold the C11/ spectroscope on the NEQ6pro....

well done - though i fear like me you will end up with a huge amount of light spillage from the neighbours. it looks like it was meant to be there!

The good news David, is that light pollution doesn't exist for spectroscopy!!!
I was about 20 miles from London in the UK and 10Km from Brussels CBD, here in Maribyrnong, 15Km downtown Melbourne, is much better -just!

Hmmm
No, not really!
It started out life with a 12" L200 on a wedge and HD tripod...
