Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Matt, Morton and Adrian! who passed their knowledge, and know how to me for the Explore Scientific EP's
Mine arrived christmas eve and i cant wait to use them..

Thats what this forum is all about, have learnt huge amounts here too.
Both your eyepieces are fab specially with longer FL scopes. The 20 68* is the easy on the eye. I hardly know its there and the 82* 11mm gives me the window out the space ship feel. I use it with the rubber folded down. Hows the wallet going? Its a bit hard to stop at two :lol:
Like to here what you think of these two babies, and the new style box is really nice too!

I may have to get my wife to hide my wallet :D Your right though, Once you buy 2 nice EP's its hard to stop, im already looking at a Televue Barlow and a ES 40mm 68D EP + 2" Diagonal.




The 20mm is a 68D , and the 11mm is the 82D. I was trying to avoid spending extra $$$ on a 2" Diagonal, otherwise i would have purchased the 24mm 82D 2", which is also $100 extra.

Nice eyepieces TechnoViking! I owned the 20mm ES 68 degree for a bit, but sold it off only to try something new, which ended up being a 22mm Vixen LVW. IMO, the 22mm LVW rivals the 20mm ES 68 off axis, but the 20mm 68 is a really nice eyepiece as well. The 22mm LVW is easier to use if you need glasses and the 20mm can be used with glasses, it's just a tad tight on relief with glasses.

Without glasses the 20mm ES 68 is an excellent choice. I also found it barlows really well too.

I'm looking to get a 24mm 68D. But, all my usual haunts are out of stock.
The wide field of view in 1.25" eyepiece is what I'm looking for. Will give me a smaller exit pupil too, which will work a bit better in Sydney.

Explore Scientific must be a popular brand, they always seem to be back ordered by most suppliers, I went to 6 different US sites, and only Agera had 2 of the 11mm EPs left.

All my ES eyepieces barlow beautifully. Never tried the 6.7 the 4.7 though, but am sure they would too given the right conditions. I reckon ES are 97% of Pentax for me having compared Pentax 10XW to the ES 11 82* over a few nights in 6" achro and 4" ED refractors.
