I like the universal lens cap on the imaging scope.
Ripper! Given SW propensity for bad lens caps, this is great for darks...

That's a very nice setup, very much along the lines of what I'm planning. How have you water-proofed the joint between the two roof sections?

Didint need to water proof joint. It's basically a z shapped lead flashing on one side and an inverted c on the other. I used butchers paper to waterproof the ply on the roof, then lnstalled the flashing then installed the roofing tiles.
No leaks so far but it's only been sealed for a couple of months.
There's a very good book with some of these detail called " how to build a roll off roof observatory" in the Patrick Moore series. I got the lead flashing idea from there.
