My Windows 7 desktop all of a sudden stopped booting up and was coming up with a weird message:
Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device.
I tried getting into bios and checking settings which were ok, but no way would it boot, that same screen kept coming up.
Eventually found the culprit with the help of a computer tech mate, it was a corrupted master boot record which turns out is a doddle to repair. Talk about a lot of hair pulling.
So if anyone has this issue pop up, here is the probable culprit, or at least in my case it was..
