Just a question:
How do you protect (Dust cover?) your gear in a remote observatory??
If covers - how are they removed???

There is a product called a Snap Cap, from Gemini Telescope Design, which can be sent a signal to open or close. I do not have one but ran across it researching obs gear. It attaches to the front of the scope tube. It comes in various sizes.

Traditional scope aperture caps/ covers I could envisage as being automated, but what about the all persuasive dust etc onto the scope/ cameras/ controls??
I currently throw an old sheet over the telescope/ pier but this has to be manually removed - when I open the roof.
