Just another thing to make me feel like a social leper...I don't drink alcohol I am branded weird...I don't go on social websites so now I am a psychopath. What is the next level above psychopath that I can aspire to?

I actually don't know anyone that uses facebook or twitter.
Lots of famous people use it a lot. I think the size of your following is directly proportional to your ego.

LOL It all depends on how you use it. If you're networking with other astro/science geeks, it means your getting all the latest news and info from all the big Obs and Space facilities across the globe, posted by the researchers themselves, not by some half wit news journalist.

I had a job where staying away from social media was a requirement. (I could tell you about it, but then I'd have to kill you. Hmmm. I guess the article is true, then.  ).
