Obviously I'm not expecting too much here, but I've stacked a number of 5 second subs (yes, I know - Any more and I get trails) at 300mm with my Pentax K-x DSLR which
resulted in an image of Eta Carinae which I thought turned out reasonable, all things considering.
I'm looking for other targets that are fairly easy to photograph (as Eta Carinae is). Prefer nebula as they look so amazing, but I'm happy to have a go at anything.
Again, not expecting much out of my substandard setup. For what it's worth, I'm saving for a HEQ5 Pro
Any ideas?
