SSAG with mini finderscope set up

Just got me one of these and using it piggy backed on 80mm refractor, anyone one suggest best settings for PHD in this set up?
I am trying at the moment to see how it goes but clouds keep obscuring guide star so I thought I would pick brains of experienced folk to get best out of it. Currently using default settings and exp of 2.5secs to find a star.
