First go at Centaurus A

I only had time to get 5 mins worth of data (5x1min ISO 1600). It was the first time I used FocusAssist and I think focus is fairly good. Maybe some coma at bottom left hand corner? I am using an 8" Newt. Obviously need to get more subs but I think I'm hooked!

Nice. More subs and longer exposure will only improve on this. You could always crop the image as the subject is still Centaurus and you have plenty of real estate there to play with.

You have done well for the short amount of time.

Thanks for the feedback. For those who haven't seen it, I have posted an updated image in the "Deep Space" thread

I'm currently in the process of setting up for guiding. I'm going to use my old tasco 60mm refractor and toucam. Just waiting on some guide scope rings to be made.

Great photo. I observed this visually the other night - it's such a stunning sight.
