Hi, first night cloud free in a while here last night. took 8*2 minutes at iso 1000 with ed80 and 5d. spent a while processing and this was my best outcome. cheers

Wow!!!

That's really impressive.
There's some great detail in there! Focus looks clean..and the colour etc is impressive.
Its a shame we cant get a little closer, but it never ceases to amaze me the level of detail that's achievable with the ED80.

Very nice indeed

I like the wide field of view, it gives it that floating in space effect as well as putting it into perspective against the star field.

Colour and detail are spot on

Yes, it does look nice floating out in the dark all alone.
If you want it up closer just do an image crop, and post a close-up

That is a really impressive effort. Looks very "clean" with little noise and lovely round stars. You gotta be happy with that.
