Post Astronomy groups near Western Sydney

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there are astronomy groups around western/southern Sydney which hold regular meets. I would like to tag along and see if I can learn some basic skills with regular members. Nothing beats practical learning!

Take Care

As Narayan said the western Sydney people are a great bunch. But as you give a 90 degree compass swathe ...

The Macarthur Astronomical Society meets at Campbelltown and have a presence on the interweb thingy here:

And then of course there is the best astronomical society in NSW if not the world at Oyster Bay, near Sutherland in the heart of the shire that meets every week ...

And yes, hands on is a great way to learn the ropes.

Hope that helps.

Best,
