If you a beginner or seasoned amateur and you want to leave your light polluted backyard and don’t like standing out in the bush with king brown snakes, drop bears and yowies by yourself.
I have started a Yahoo Group where you can meticulously plan your dark skies viewing adventure and place it on the group for all to see. The only commitment one makes is to yourself to go to where you have chosen. Everyone else can contact you if they want to join in. You can also organise social events as well and advertise their existence on the group.
Tempestwizz you can place your upcoming event on there if you like.
Well I know similar efforts have been made in this direction within this forum before, AKA CASDAK Hi Barry and Humayun. I just think that a lot of us are not that spontaneous.
