Life Goes On

Had a late session last night bed at 1:30pm will be posting a new image later all going well. Up at 7:00 and took the dog for an hrs walk, slightly cloudy and humid in Perth today.

No viewing tonight as visiting friends chance to drown my sorrows. If I've been quite this week its that my 90 year old mother passed away Wednesday morning after 4 years in a nursing home just existing unable to talk, walk and memory gone after having a stroke back in 2005.

I've been unable to grieve as I'm was one of 8 children she bore from 2 husbands we all said she put into early graves. None of us have really been close to our mother. She was old school brought up in a harsh existence and ruled by parents with a hard hand an attribute she inherited unfortunately. She never had any friends except I suppose her third husband of 40 years who survives her.

I'll dedicate this image to my mother god rest her soul when all is said and done she was still my mum, I'll cry but don't know when.

Sorry if this is not the right thing to share here.

Trevor,
My thoughts are with you at this trying time.
My mum(84) passed on wednesday as well, after a long illness.
Been the week from hell, with not much attitude for work or play.
Next week will be even tougher, as I catch up with all the relatives.
Just remember, they are in a better place now.
Regards

Adrian

Hi Trevor and Adrian, I'm sorry to hear about your mothers.

I lost both my parents 12 years ago in a very short space of time, it is never an easy time and my thoughts are with you both.

I always try to remember all the good times that we had.

Hi Trevor....and sincere regrets for the loss of your mum.

I lost my mother when I was quite young. Although sad that I didn't get any chance to develop an enduring and mature relationship with her...in some ways it has spared me the agony of losing her as an 'adult'.

Nothing can really prepare you for their departure...but it's comforting to know you are surrounded by friends.

You also can't prepare for how you'll react. I've lost pets and cried harder than I'd ever expect....and had lesser reactions to other circumstances where I thought I'd blubber like a baby. Go figure. It's all a giant lottery, anyway, eh mate?

Let things be what they'll be.

All the best.

Matt.

Hi Trev

Sorry to hear about your loss but as with all things clarity comes with time. I fear I may also soon lose my mum as she has been battling breast cancer for the last couple of years and is about to start radio therapy in the next couple of weeks. Hang in there buddy.

Mark

My sincerest condolences too Trevor. I feel for you, I really do. My father recently passed too (beginning of Jan) - and although he was old school and he and I never really saw eye to eye, I miss him dearly. Our parents are our closest relatives, and it's hard to let them go because they define our lives. They are our comfort and our backbone. Everything we do we judge in reference to them. I haven't yet truly grieved for my father yet. I'll miss him, and one day I'll be uncontrollably sad. I know it. May your mum rest now.

Although I've never met most of you (except Marki) I can class you all as friends.

Thank you

I'll join the other guys in offering my most sincere condolences at this sad time. Time is a great healer, - remember this, and be easy with yourselves.
