CCD Variable Stars
I find myself in a position where I am able to capture data but currently lack the time to process/measure it.
Yes I can wait for a rainy day/night and do it then but then I thought there might be someone out there wishing to do it. If you are an AAVSO observer (or wanting to become one) then you can lodge the data under your name so you are credited with the work.
Each FITS image is 1.7mb so you will need a broadband connection (or I can cut them to CD and mail them to you) and you will need suitable software to calibrate and measure the images. The image sets comprise 3 images (15s, 60s and 240s) of each of 50-60 stars in a nights run (and I have a couple of nights worth of data to measure). The 3 sets of images are to bracket the typical brightness of these variables (somewhere between 7th and 15th magnitude) so you would only measure the one file providing the most suitable image. (typically I only do 1 night, maybe 2 nights a month)
It takes me approx 5-6 relaxed hours to process one nights worth of data. Just drop me a line if you are interested.
