horse head and flame

had a go at this 3 or 4 times in the past but one reason or another never got the image. bad tracking , way to windy one night, user error another night only pressed the shutter and not interval timer shooting so left camera on for 4 hours only to take the one image
anyway really happy with this one dark sky really helped bortle class 1.
yes its got its problems but best one I have done of this target.

Nikon D850, Tamron 150-600 G2, sky watcher star adventurer 2i
image is cropped a fair bit
lens at 400mm ISO 3200 f/6
480 20 sec subs with darks flats and bias
stacked in deep sky stacker prosessed in photoshop

Excellent image, Mick. Great colour, good detail in the nebulae, and the stars (whilst a bit bright) are not over-powering.

Nice one Mick you've got the dust detail and ol' horsey well
I don't have any DSLR experience yet, is ISO 3200 what you consider high gain for your setup?

Gosh I like those colours, Mick. Great job in bringing it alive and making it pop. Im looking forward to giving this one a go too ... and no doubt it'll take me 3 or 4 attempts too. Alex

i probably got carried away with the saturation slider hahaha
