M39 is a bit far North for most people in Oz. It is however noticeable with binoculars, so is still worth a try. It is approximately 1,000 lightyears distant.
M29 is small and for a long time, I doubted if it was a real cluster. It is, and is some 4,000 LYs away, but only 11 LYs across. It has been nicknamed as a mini-Pleiades or a stubby dipper.
Taken last night through my Tak 100mm F7.4, one shot with a Cannon M50.
